This
is another warm-up piece I did that I decided to spend a bit more time on. I
used a monochromatic palette of extreme white and black and mid tones in
between. I can easily pull more "paint" and adjust when I need to instead of second-guessing the tonal ranges
every time.

in the day, I loved having those dessert jelly in small plastic cups that had
grooves running down from top to bottom. They were called Jelly Ace. I might
have subconsciously been thinking of them while doing this.
